Introduction: A Shared Journey
At Faha International School, we believe that education is a partnership. A child’s success isn’t just determined by what happens within our four walls, but by the synergy between the classroom and the living room. In this edition of our blog, we combine practical Parenting Tips & School News to help you navigate the academic year while fostering a nurturing environment at home. Our mission is to ensure that every student at Faha International feels supported, both as a learner and as an individual.
Parenting Tip #1: Establishing a “Success Routine”
Consistency is the language of security for children. One of the best ways to support your child’s “Individual Sessions” at school is to mirror that structure at home.
- The Power of Sleep: Ensure your child gets 9–11 hours of sleep to help with brain development and mood regulation.
- The Homework Zone: Create a quiet, tech-free space for study.
- The “Daily De-brief”: Instead of asking “How was school?”, try “What was the most interesting thing you learned in the Science Lab today?”
School News: The Launch of our “Tiny Scholars” Reading Club
We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new “Reading Hub” in the Library and Play Area. To encourage literacy, Faha International School is launching a monthly reading challenge. Students who complete five books a month will receive a “Star Reader” badge during the morning assembly. This initiative is designed to turn reading from a chore into a choice.
Parenting Tip #2: Managing Digital Wellbeing
As we upgrade our Computer Labs with the latest technology, it is vital to manage screen time at home. We suggest the “1-for-1” rule: for every hour spent on a screen, encourage one hour of physical play in the fresh air. This balance is essential for maintaining physical health and social skills.
School News: Upcoming Annual Achievement Showcase
Mark your calendars! Faha International School will be hosting its Annual Achievement Showcase next month. This is a day to celebrate every “Preschool Achievement,” from science projects to art displays. It’s an opportunity for parents to see the results of our personalized curriculum first-hand and meet the dedicated educators shaping their children’s futures.
